Quality, in our own words.
You've got the script. You've got the brief. This is what we mean when we say great work — the visual, the audio, and the small habits between content people scroll past and content that performs.
Native, but never sloppy.
- Natural light when possible — face toward a window. If you have to use a ring or filming light, make sure it's not reflecting on any objects in frame.
- Background real but clean: tidy, believable, minimal clutter.
- Vertical 9:16 unless told otherwise. Frame chest-up, eyes at top third.
- Stabilize. Handheld is fine — shaky isn't.
- Show the product or service in the first 3 seconds — unless your Producer tells you otherwise.
- Quiet room. Turn off fans and AC.
- Get close to the mic — arm's length or closer.
- Do a 3-second test before the real take. Listen for hiss, echo.
- Speak with energy. Casual confident, not monotone.
- Clothing: keep the same outfit across hook, body and CTA when shot in one environment or following a single story. Go for calm, casual, clean — no wrinkles — unless your Producer specifies otherwise.
- Check your screens. If any screens appear in frame (screen recordings included), make sure they're clean and free of reflections.
- Ring-light reflections in glasses, windows, mirrors or any product surface.
- Harsh overhead lighting — creates eye shadows and a tired look.
- Messy, distracting backgrounds or beauty filters.
- Don't rely on "we'll fix it in editing." Bad audio rarely is fixable.
- Don't record in echo-y spaces — empty rooms, bathrooms, stairwells.
- Don't let background music or noise overpower your voice.
- Visible brand logos. Avoid unintended logos in frame — clothing, bags, laptops, accessories.
- Busy outfits. No loud patterns, overly bright colours, or large logos on clothing.
Looks premium. Feels real.
- Feel like a real recommendation — specific, practical, a little imperfect.
- Add b-roll that proves the claim (product in use, screen recording, results) — only if the script/scope asks for it.
- Use real-life context ("before a meeting," "during my workday") — only if it fits the script.
- Default delivery is semi-raw: clean cut, clean audio. Producers will tell you when more is needed.
- Don't look like a commercial. Casual confidence beats polish every time.
Small things that move the needle.
- Add captions or overlays only when the producer asks for them in the brief. Default is clean cut, clean audio.
- Aim for 15–35 seconds for hook + USP + CTA — but exact length depends on your script and scope.
- Finished making your point? Cut it. No padding, no extra "ums," no dead air.
- Watch your delivery on a phone screen before sending — that's where it'll be seen.
- No tiny text. No copyrighted music — stick to in-app licensed sounds.
- Mind platform safe zones. Keep key elements (product, text, faces) clear of areas covered by platform UI — captions, buttons, profile overlays. If it's hidden by the interface, it didn't happen.
- Caption & overlay readability. If you're adding on-screen text, make sure it's legible on a phone — high contrast, large enough, not buried under UI.
Talk to your Producer first.
Hooks, USPs and CTAs come from us. Bring them to life — but if a line doesn't land in your culture or audience, message your Producer before you change anything. Cultural tweaks are welcome. Going off-script unannounced isn't.
Surprises cost everyone.
Unexplained delays or unannounced script changes can affect the production's delivery — and compensation adjustments may apply per your terms. The fix is easy: stay in touch with your Producer and you'll never have to think about this.
Quality first. Speed second.
Creators are eligible for performance bonuses when work stands out — through the craft of the delivery, the speed of getting it there, or both. Awarded at your Producer's discretion.
A rushed cut delivered early earns a revision, not a bonus. The only delivery worth shipping fast is one that still looks fire.
